Encouragement Over Approval

Facebook can be a tricky space. It’s easy to get caught up in the numbers—the likes, shares, comments—but that just isn't a good reason to post. For me, my FB words and pics aren’t meant to impress or seek validation. They are simply a reflection of my heart, a way to encourage, uplift, and maybe even remind someone that they are not alone.  Mostly to remind me that I still have purpose and meaning.

I’ve had moments in my own life when a simple message, a kind word, or shared laughter made all the difference. Sometimes, we don’t know who might need a little encouragement. We don’t always see the struggles behind the screen. But if something I share can brighten someone’s day, offer hope, or inspire a fresh perspective, well, that matters to me.

I don’t need applause—I post on social media for connection. I want my corner of the internet to feel like a safe place, where words carry warmth and kindness rather than competition or comparison.  And sometimes connecting with an old friend just feels good!

If you ever scroll past one of my posts and it speaks to you, I hope it brings a little light into your day. And if it does, I hope you’ll pass it forward—because the world can always use more encouragement and laughter!
