Time, slow down! There’s no need to rush!

He's sitting on your knee and figuring out the iPad. And suddenly, he's behind the wheel of your car. Where did the time go? It feels like just yesterday he was figuring out how apps work, his small fingers tapping at the screen with pure curiosity. And now—now he’s navigating roads, choices, and conversations that are astonishingly deep.

He cracks a joke, that signature dry humor that makes you laugh even when you don't expect to. But this time, it’s laced with wisdom—an awareness of the future, of possibilities stretching far beyond high school. The shift is surreal. The little boy who once asked a million questions about how things work--and then figured it out-- is now dissecting life’s biggest questions, weighing goals, dreams, and next steps with confidence and thoughtfulness.

And as grandad,  you get to be part of it. You get to witness the transition from childhood wonder to the insight of young adulthood. You get to sit in the passenger seat as he drives—literally and figuratively—toward the future, sharing his thoughts, his dreams, and that irreplaceable dry sense of humor that’s always been his own. And what a jarring flashback of those years when his dad was in the same place he is now.  Time, slow down!
